Taipei: Taipei 101

Taipei 101 is Taiwan's highest building and was actually the World's tallest building until 2010 (before Burj Khalifa in Dubai). It is a couple of minutes walk from the train station. The building is so tall, you'll need to find a spot few blocks away if you want to snap a whole picture of it.

On our quest to find the best spot, we passed by some cool decorative balls which were great for wide angle mirror pics. 😉

It is a little foggy the day we visited it. Hence, the blurry/unclear pictures. View for the day.

According to the information booklet, this big round thingy, in the middle of the building called the "Dumper Bumper", is keeping the whole structure balanced. This is the reason why even for a tall building, it is able to withstand extreme weather conditions. Oh, and they created such cute characters from this. Cutie Dumper Babies! 😍

Once you've arrived at the top level. There is a room where a short movie about the construction of the skyscraper is showing. There is also a door leading to an outdoor viewing area for the tip of the building.

Probably need a wide angle camera if you want to take better pictures. Below is my best shoot using my Canon m3.

There is also a section for Jade decorations and Jewellery. The products are really nice and pretty. However, they are also very expensive. 😅

Mirror Picture! There are mirrors everywhere!
Mirror Wall, floor and ceiling. 😊

Till next time! XOXO 😘
