Happy 1st Year Anniversary!

A year ago, I saw a pretty doll in different pose while browsing the net. I thought she’s really cute so I started to search more information about this doll. Then I found out that she is called a Ball Jointed Doll, she was manufactured by a Korean company (dream of dolls), that her name is Shall and that she is EXPENSIVE. Being the cheapskate that I am, I thought “I will never have a doll like her”.

And there starts the never-ending Obsession for these Expensive Dolls…

Every day when I open my computer, I made sure to browse the net for these dolls. I found out about the different companies that manufacture them, the different size, different sculpt, different origin, different clothes, hair, shoes, etc. Four months later, I made up my mind on buying my first and last (that’s what I thought at that time) doll. My mindset then was “maybe if I get one, I’ll finally stop this obsession”. But I got scared of customs, the long waiting time, the use of credit card and since I’m already following ManikaManila by that time; I opted to adopt a doll from one of its member. It just so happen that the dolls up for adoptions are from the same company that I am planning on ordering from (dream of dolls). So, I talked to the owner and after a week, Katarzyna Clarisse was delivered on my doorstep. Face smiling, heart pumping, hands shaking and my mind thinking “I just want to open that box”!  At that time, nothing matters except for opening that box. And when I finally saw her, standing there in front me, everything was so worth it! Forget about the sleepless nights thinking about BJD’s, never mind the amount of money I spent to get her, and didn’t think about the reaction of my parents when they see her (I was sure I’ll get a scolding from my mom). All I know is that I was so happy and satisfied that I finally have my own BJD. ^_^

A year later, I now have 3 bjd’s, 2 msd girls and a yo-sd girl. KC is still register in ManikaManila Census under her previous mom, while Yuki and Leika are not yet registered. I got so busy after the board exam and just forgot to register them. Hopefully, this coming holiday, I’ll have the time to update the blog and the MM Census.

KC's Post # 2

Hello to all (resin or flesh)! This is Katarzyna Clarisse, KC for short, blogging to share my latest purchase.

If you have read Malou’s Prior Post, you already know how long it took for these products to finally reach me. I quote “20 days for item preparation, 7 days of delayed shipment, 3 days of actual shipping, 9 days in customs and 4 days in a local post office somewhere”. Not to mention the Stress Malou Experienced when she found out that the package was passed to customs. She even asked her Aunt to talk to their Broker, Panic much? Lol! Luckily, her mother knows someone from the post office in their province. So instead of picking up the package herself, which would mean her being absent from work for a day, her mom’s friend just claimed it for her.

Now, without further delay, here is what I bought.

PS:  Malou paid for all of these, I just choose what I like from the catalogue.  ^_^

Waiting = Stress

It’s here! 20 days for item preparation, 7 days of delayed shipment, 3 days of actual shipping, 9 days in customs and 4 days in a local post office somewhere, my Package finally arrived!  Yay! So excited to open it! Unfortunately, it was delivered on my provincial address (Pampanga, to avoid being taxed) so I will have to wait till I go home this weekend. Some package opening pictures on my next post.  ^_^

First ever international Purchase...

My First ever international Purchase. I ordered some accessories from Alice's Collection. The package arrived last monday but I wasn't able to open it till friday because i had it Shipped in Pampanga. ( coz I got too scared of customs and i was hoping that i won't get taxed in the province). My mom was the one who received the package so I got a little nervous (does not support my hobby), luckily, Alice's Collection did not include the invoice so i was able to convince my mom that the things that I bought are just cheap items. ^_^ oh, and She said that she paid the deliveryman P100. i don't know if i was taxed or if it's just "post office fee".

Sorry if I babble... this is officially my 1st Dollie Post... (longest one so far....) ^_^

KC excited for her new stuff......

I can only imagine what it feels like ordering a doll online! Haha.. Longer shipping time coz some dolls are only made when there is already an order.. 3 mos? 4 mos? Haha.. So wait wait wait! ^_^

Frustration....

For 5 months now, I've been searching the whole internet world for sellers of Ball jointed Dolls in the Philippines. I've discovered that THERE are NO RETAIL STORE that sells them here (thanks Manika Manila for the info)! So I have no Choice but to order it online. Now that's my next problem, I Don't Have a credit card and most transactions online are paid thru credit card or Paypal. I've created a paypal account but I have No Idea Where i can Get Paypal Cash (i don't know what they call it) without a credit card. T_T

Back Up plan? Wait for BJD owners here that will give their daughter/son away for adoption (found out in some forums that "adoption" is the term use by owners when they sell their dolls... cute!). i've found some in multiply but i was too late (their already adopted). lol.. I guess I'll just continue waiting for now.. until either i find a seller/doll out for adoption/seller of paypal cash/or i get my own credit card... Ciou! ^_^
