Model Wannabe...

As the title stated (Model Wannabe), I am NOT a model. I just wished I were one. Lol! J

I don’t really remember the event where I started liking to have my pictures taken or dreaming of becoming a model.

When I was a little girl, I used to hate having my picture taken. My parents used to tell me stories about how I always throw tantrums whenever someone took my picture. There were even times where I would rip my dress up, throw my shoes and, as exaggerated as it may be, fight with the photographer. This is mainly the reason why every time my relatives see me having my picture taken they always tease me and tell stories about when I was young.

I can't really explain how I like having my picture taken. All I know is that I just love posing in front of the camera, having a picture for a specific outfit (OOTD), taking my own picture (selfie) or just making faces (narcissistic much?). It just makes me feel relaxed and forget about my problems (maybe because I just do it for fun and not as a job). J

All About Louie # 5: Doll Collector

Hello Everyone!

So to explain more about this particular thing about me, I’ll be copying some of the things that I wrote from my other blog account (http://lou806.livejournal.com), which is currently in a hiatus. J

Around 2011, I saw a pretty doll in different pose while browsing the net. I thought she’s really cute so I started to search more information about this doll. Then I found out that she is called a Ball Jointed Doll, she was manufactured by a Korean company (dream of dolls), that her name is Shall and that she is EXPENSIVE. Being the cheapskate that I am, I thought, “I will never have a doll like her”.
And there starts the never-ending Obsession for these Expensive Dolls…
Every day when I open my computer, I made sure to browse the net for these dolls. I found out about the different companies that manufacture them, the different size, different sculpt, different origin, different clothes, hair, shoes, etc. Four months later, I made up my mind on buying my first and last (that’s what I thought at that time) doll. My mindset then was “maybe if I get one, I’ll finally stop this obsession”. But I got scared of customs, the long waiting time, the use of credit card and since I’m already following ManikaManila by that time; I opted to adopt a doll from one of its member. It just so happen that the dolls up for adoptions are from the same company that I am planning on ordering from (dream of dolls). So, I talked to the owner and after a week, Katarzyna Clarisse (KC) was delivered on my doorstep. Face smiling, heart pumping, hands shaking and my mind thinking “I just want to open that box”!  At that time, nothing matters except for opening that box. And when I finally saw her, standing there in front me, everything was so worth it! Forget about the sleepless nights thinking about BJD’s, never mind the amount of money I spent to get her, and didn’t think about the reaction of my parents when they see her (I was sure I’ll get a scolding from my mom). All I know is that I was so happy and satisfied that I finally have my own BJD.

As of today, I already have five (5) BJD’s. Four (4) MSD’s, 2 girls and 2 boys,  and a Yo-SD girl. KC is still register in ManikaManila Census under her previous mom, while the other  4 are not yet registered. I got so busy after the board exam and just forgot to register them.

So there, that is how all this thing started.

I’m saving up right now so I haven’t bought any dolls. But I’m planning on buying my very first 1/3 (SD) doll this year! ^_^

Thanks for reading everyone and till next time! J

Below is a picture of my dolls (excuse the low quality picture. I just realised that the only picture that I have with all of them together is a picture from my phone 😭)

All About Louie # 4: Traveler

Happy Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!

Just because I can feel the Christmas Spirit around me! So I decided to write. J

Here is a very short explanation about this.

Another thing that you should know about me is that I love to Travel. I love going to places and experiencing things. I feel happy whenever I see the different sceneries here in our world. Meeting people and learning about their culture and beliefs helps me widen my horizon and gives me first hand experience on things that I usually just read in books. Tasting the different delicacies unique in each place that I visit makes me very eager to continue this certain hobby and explore more.

So far, I have only been able to travel the places here in the Philippines and some Asian Countries that does not required Visas.

As of now, my Goal for this hobby is to be able to travel the places/countries presented on my passport case. Hopefully, I’ll have the time and money to be able to explore these countries. J

Below is a picture of my Passport Case. I bought the case in a local shop during my trip in Dumaguete City, Visayas Philippines. (Countries in my passport case: Paris, London, Minlan, New York, Tokyo, Seoul, China, Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore, Indonesia, Sydney)

All About Louie #2 & #3: Love Gadgets and Gamer

Hi all!

So, how did these 2 started?
My love for gadgets started during my elementary days. It was the time when we were transferred from our school in Pampanga to a private school in Quezon City. The reason for our transfer was because during that time, Pampanga was always under the state of calamity. Hence, classes were always suspended and our parents thought that it is best for our education and safety to transfer us in Manila. Because our parents and relatives are living in the province, we (me and my siblings) were each given a cellular phone (Nokia 3210 was the latest at that time) for communication purposes.

Then as the years passed, new phones and gadgets were developed. Personal computer, laptop, play station, mp3 player, ipod, tablet computer, camera, Iphones etc. I became so obsessed with them to the point that I remember being given or buying a new gadget each year. And as they say, the rest is history. J

In line with my obsession for gadgets, is me also developing my love for computer games. I remember playing my favorite RPG game till morning (Final Fantasy Series and Harvest Moon). I remember searching the net for guides or forum where I can ask questions on how to solve a certain quest. I remember asking my fellow gamers on what games are the latest in the market and pestering my brother to find that game for me. I remember killing the monsters in the game for the nth times to reach level 99 and not sleeping until I hear the theme song of the game after the final battle.

Even though I’ve already graduated and is working in my chosen field (which I can say has no relation to gadgets and gaming at all), I still can’t forget these two things. I am still obsessed with the latest gadgets and still looking for what game I should play next. I even want to play Final Fantasy 8 & 9 that were out around the time of play station 1! Unfortunately, my play station 1 is not working anymore but I think my CD’s are still working. LOL. Emulator maybe??

There! That’s how this whole love and obsession thing started! Hahaha. Again, another picture of my favorite characters in Final Fantasy 8, Squall and Rinoa! J

All About Louie # 1: An Anime Addict

Hi All! As indicated in my profile, I LOVE ANIME!

Anime are Japanese animated productions featuring hand-drawn or computer animation. The word is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term references all animation, but in English, the term is defined as a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastic themes (Wikipedia). For more info you can go directly to Wikipedia, here’s the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime

I have been obsessing with these animations scenes I was 9 years old. I remember directly going home after school (4:00 pm) because that’s when the anime show starts to air. Going directly to the TV and singing along with the opening or theme song. Over reacting to the happenings in show. Commenting on the events that took place on the anime for the day and declaring crazy things like marrying Tamahome or Otohori someday.
I remember going to school late (or in my case, Half-day) because the time slot for “Marmalade Boy” is 9:30 in the morning and I really want to watch that show (there were still no site to watch this anime before). And chatting with my friends (fellow Fan-Girls) about the current episode of the anime’s that we are watching instead of doing our school works.
I remember downloading soundtracks and lyrics, and memorize them so that I can sing along with it. Spending my allowance to collect laminated cards, posters and stickers. Trading theme with friends and finding out that a certain rare card was missing because one of your friends took it (Yes Erin, ikaw ito! Hahaha.. No offense, naisip lang kita. J ).

Then Anime became the new “It Thing” in the country and conventions and events started popping out and a new interactive way was developed for those people like me, where anime or animations has been a big part in our human development (LOL! I feel like an Alien! ^_^).

So there! That’s how this whole obsession started and until now, anime is still part of my daily routine. Be it in an episode, a chapter of manga or a whole story of fanfiction.  Hahaha. Below is a picture of Tamahome just because he is my first ever anime crush! ^_^
